Capitum is run by Morten Christensen.

Education

Cand.merc. (MSc in Economics and Business Administration) in management accounting from Aalborg University, with a thesis on hedging corporate currency risk with options and futures. MBA specializing in business valuation, with a master’s thesis on the valuation and management of company value.

Finance

Finance has been Morten’s main interest since the final year of his master’s studies at Aalborg University, when his focus turned to complex financial problems and solutions.

Industry

Ten years in private companies in management roles as finance manager, head of finance and CFO.

Valuation and M&A

Independent in M&A since 2016 – the field that is his primary interest. Since then, more than 200 valuations and many other M&A-related engagements for startups, small, mid-sized and large companies in Denmark and abroad, as well as investment companies – including valuations of Danish companies sold to foreign companies.

Citizenship

Danish and U.S. citizen – an advantage in cross-border engagements.

As finance manager, head of finance and CFO, Morten was responsible for the numbers others had to evaluate. That gives a practical understanding of what it takes for a company to provide the material – and of what an owner needs to know.

Capitum is based in Sønderborg, Denmark, and works for clients in Denmark and abroad. Meetings are held by phone, online or in person by arrangement.
